So wrote Shirley Jackson in The Haunting of Hill House,
and so did the manor Collinwood stand against a cliff
romantically named Widows' Hill, holding within the
dark shadows of its silent corridors the unspoken
secrets of the Collins family.
Collinsport, a small fishing village in Maine was the
setting for this eerie daytime soap opera. The story of
Victoria Winters, a young woman who is hired as governess
for ten-year-old David Collins. Epiosdes relate her
involvement in the supernatural existences of the Collins
family. The first daytime serial to present vampires,
werewolves, witches, and black magic for its stories.
