Based on the 1947 movie of the same name.
307 Marshall Road, Washington, D.C., was
the residence of the Morley family: Glen,
widower and congressman; his mother,
Agatha; and his children, Steven and Danny

Seeking a government job teaching under-
privileged children in the Congo, Katy Holstrum,
a beautiful, naive, Minnesota farm girl seeks
the help of her congressman. Impressed with her
ability to handle his sons, Glen offers her the
position of governess, which she accepts.

Stories depict: the home and working life of a
congressman; and the attempts of a Swedish
country girl to adjust to both political and
city life. Through simple charm and native
intelligence Katy managed to loosen up the
sometimes stuffy politicians around her and
to further Glen's bumbling political career.
