This hit dating-reality series, which was the number-three
show of the summer among adults 18-49, continues to be a smash
with viewers since returning to NBC in January 2003. Viewers can
expect to see more outrageous “secret tasks,” more shocking revelations
about each player’s past and the notorious “lie-detector” tests.
Usually, the parents of a 20-something female get to choose between
three male bachelors. But, sometimes, the show features bachelorettes.
The parents get to know the singles and so does their daughter. Three
eligible bachelors spend three days with their potential Miss Right,
and her family in their home. During the course of the long weekend,
each contestant's character and intentions are put to the test through
a series of revealing conversations and interactions with the parents
of their potential love match. The ultimate victor will enjoy a week in
Hawaii with the woman of his dreams – if he gets her family's blessings.
