SUPERMAN, strange visitor from another planet who came to
Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men!
SUPERMAN, who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend
steel in his bare hands, and who, disguised as Clark Kent,
mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights
a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!"

At age 25, after the death of Eben Kent, Clark moved to Metropolis
and landed a job as reporter for The Daily Planet. When danger
loomed he quickly changed from Clark Kent to Superman, leapt
out a convenient window, and flew to the rescue! Clark's boss
at the newspaper was blustery editor Perry White, whose most
common expletive was "Great Ceasar's ghost!" Jimmy Olson
was the ambitious, but timid, young cub reporter, and
Lois Lane was the top reporter on the paper.
